How can we make technology visible if we live in a context in which it is usually rendered intangible and hidden behind its own devices? Not only is technology always present in every context, even without us knowing, but we often become a presence for it too: through our interaction, our personalities and behaviors are translated into data that fuels this machine. This data is often used as a mean to catalog our interests, behaviors and habits, creating categories of users. Our project wants to put the focus on how bias and stereotypes might influence these algorithms that categorize us, and how we can not confide in their inability to fail. The project was developed during the Creative Coding course at Politecnico di Milano, MA in Communication Design (2022-23).
